They present a model for the return of democracy in Cuba

MIAMI (Diariodelasamericas) – The Republican Party of Cuba (PRC) outlined a model for the success of the demonstrations on the island, whose population has been demanding freedom in the streets since last Sunday, and proposed the creation of a National Salvation Council (CSN) for the subsequent transition to democracy.

In a video sent to DIARIO LAS AMÉRICAS, the president of the PRC, Ibrahim Bosch, called for taking over “the structures of power” from the municipal, provincial and national levels in Cuba, “starting with the police stations” and the so-called “rapid response brigades”, in order to avoid confrontations with agents in the service of the dictatorship.

Bosch argued that the CSN should be made up of "worthy members of society , who have no connection with tyranny," with the mission of preventing anarchy and maintaining a basic order of government.

Regarding international relations, the activist said, "the CSN will develop them according to the position taken by different countries" in the process that thousands of Cubans hope will culminate in the departure of the Castro family and a small group of military officers from power.

Regarding the military, Bosch asked that they not stain their hands with blood on the side of the oppressors, that they maintain a dignified position and not point their weapons at family members, children or friends.

The Republican Party of Cuba, according to its website, firmly believes in a republic whose fundamental basis is the law and works to translate these tendencies into the thinking of society, in order to develop national pride, equal justice, defenders of human rights in the world, social decency, responsibility as individual citizens of a politically active society and a mentality of peace with freedom.
