Cuba, Isle of Pines. (Via telephone, PRC) - At 6 pm, the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows on the Isle of Pines was raided by Castro-communist SS forces. Nonviolent activists were beaten and are being held for visiting the house of God. It is unbelievable how discredited the military regime and the clergy are for authorizing the violation of churches. Both sides compete, one for subservience and the other for intolerance, provoking social unrest and denying any nonviolent avenue for channeling discontent. They are the instigators of a social explosion and are responsible for all the violence and death that result from it.
