Cuba, Santa Clara (Audio at the end, PRC) - At the Buen Viaje Church, a team led by Mildrei Agüero Torres, FLAMUR delegate in the municipality of Santa Clara, along with four other activists from the PRC, IJR, and other organizations, are gathered. All are members of the Central Opposition Coalition led by Ms. Damaris Moya Portieles.
There has already been an attempt by the political police to remove them, and the temple authorities have been derangedly insulting them, as usual turning their backs on their followers and supporting the oppressors.
Information has arrived that there are people outside who have given protection to the activists inside, shouting at the SS. This has generated confrontation and resulted in three injuries among the citizens, who are in the provincial hospital. All of this occurred when they tried to close the area. Ultimately, these intolerant behaviors of the military regime and the Catholic Church will generate more social tension, and those responsible for any regrettable outcome will be held accountable.
We will continue to expand.
