The Republican Party of Cuba (PRC) issued an official statement through its president, Ibrahim Bosch, following news of a purported operation to extract Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro. In his remarks, Bosch described the event as a positive action by the U.S. administration and as an occurrence of profound historical and regional significance.
In the statement, the Republican Party of Cuba emphasizes that this event sends an unequivocal signal to regimes operating as narco-states in Hispano-America, explicitly mentioning Nicaragua and Cuba. According to Bosch, these developments indicate that the cycle of authoritarian leftism in the region is nearing its end.
Cuba as the Ideological Axis of Regional Authoritarianism
During his remarks, Bosch stated that Cuba acts as the “ideological brain” of this regional network, asserting that the Cuban dictatorship engages in espionage practices against the United States with the aim of selling sensitive information to powers such as China, Russia, and Iran. According to him, these actions not only compromise hemispheric security but also perpetuate the oppression of the Cuban people.
Regional Impact and Benefits for Hispano-America
The president of the PRC maintained that the gradual removal of these authoritarian regimes would have direct positive effects on the region: greater political stability, strengthened security, a reduction in uncontrolled migration toward the United States, and the opening of real opportunities for economic and commercial development in Hispano-America.
Direct Message to the Cuban Leadership
In one of the most forceful moments of the message, Bosch issued a direct warning to the Cuban leadership, urging it to look into the “mirror of Maduro.” He recalled the fates of figures such as Manuel Noriega, Muammar Gaddafi, and Saddam Hussein, stating that the Cuban regime’s top leadership lacks the real capacity to prevent a similar international operation if it persists in its repressive and anti-democratic policies.
The Future of Cuba
Bosch concluded his remarks by congratulating the Venezuelan people and reaffirming that the Republican Party of Cuba has concrete and structured plans to contribute to Cuba’s prosperity, stability, and development once freedom is achieved. He reiterated that the PRC’s goal is a democratic Cuba, with the rule of law, a free-market economy, and full respect for human rights.
The Republican Party of Cuba reaffirms its commitment to the freedom of the oppressed peoples of the region and considers recent events to constitute a historic precedent marking the beginning of the end of narco-states in Latin America.
