Policy shift by President Donald Trump's administration

Havana, Cuba (PRC) – The new policy of President Donald Trump's administration regarding relations between the Cuban military regime and the United States represents a complete shift from the previous administration. Our organization welcomes these changes.

As opponents who seek the dismantling of totalitarianism in Cuba and believe that the slave cannot be denied the use of any tool to break his chains, we say; our actions have rested on the strategic, non-violent but active struggle, but we have always considered all options valid.

The president has spoken of draining the swamp in Washington, but Florida has its own swamp, and more specifically, the Cuban community also has its own swamp on both sides. Whenever U.S. presidents have wanted to help the Cuban people, they have appointed people of Cuban origin to advise or hold positions where they can advance agendas to support the struggle for their long-awaited freedom. Perhaps they should use people who don't come from the same swamp.

From our perspective, the measures are good, but we would have also proposed:

-Add the regime to the list of countries that sponsor terrorism (this activates a series of protocols that harm tyrants).

-Open and reopen drug trafficking cases against the military leadership.

-Open cases for illegal arms trafficking in violation of UN agreements.

-Open a case for the downing of aircraft with US registration and US citizens in international airspace.

-Open a case for crimes against humanity in international or US courts (March 13 tugboat and others with evidence).

-Demand the return of the fugitives from American justice within a specified period, or go and find them.

-Demand the release of political prisoners, without conditions.

-Respect for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

-More measures could have been proposed by creating a group for that purpose and discussing them publicly.

All of the above is to be evaluated within a period of 6 months, depending on the results, to analyze new, stronger options, keeping in mind that the aim should be to remove the military clique from power.

The UN is useless. Russia considers Crimea a strategic area and has annexed it. The US has a terrorist enemy as a neighbor, which has also succeeded in infiltrating its intelligence services and uses and sells this information to the highest bidder—be they enemies of the US, both large and small—in addition to subverting the constitutional order in Latin America and anywhere else in the world where possible, always seeking to undermine US interests. This provides good international cover for the US to bring down Castro-communism, protecting its strategic interests and encouraging the sovereign people of Cuba to change its destiny and become a political, economic, and military ally of the US, defending Western values.

Those who are close to the possibility of advising the president may have the best intentions in the world to help us; the point is that they also have the genuine will to end the dictatorship and align our interests with matters that could be of great interest to the U.S., motivating it to do bigger things and forgetting about opportunism and egos.

Our organization has a package of potential additional measures that we believe are prudent not to specify in this statement.
