Opposition leader Ramón Zamora Rodríguez threatened with the crime of incitement to commit a crime

(Lagrimasdecuba.blogspot.com )_ This Saturday, January 8, 2022 , two State Security agents delivered a summons to the home of Ramón Zamora Rodríguez, Director of the Republican Party of Cuba in Holguín Province and Secretary of the Independent Trade Union Association of Cuba for this Province, ordering him to appear at the First Police Unit on Martí and Narciso López Streets.

Once at this police station, he was taken before the Chief of the Unit for Combating Crimes Against State Security, who goes by the name of Alejandro. Alejandro told him he was "warning" him that if he continued making posts to incite popular protests in support of prisoners who have threatened the stability of the revolution (avoiding the term "Political Prisoners"), he would be prosecuted for the crime of "Incitement to Commit Crimes" and that the means he uses to publish such acts on social media, which lead to popular violence, would be confiscated. The dissenting opposition member stated that, whatever happens, he will not be limited by any law designed to silence and bind an entire people, because demanding freedoms and rights is not a crime.

Throughout Saturday, January 8th, Zamora Rodríguez was denied access to mobile data to prevent him from connecting to the internet and to interrupt his work in independent journalism. According to the Chief of Counterintelligence, the opposition leader Ramón Zamora Rodríguez was promised that life would be more bitter than gall, because there will be no action without consequences and sin is inherited. This is not the first time that Castro's State Security has issued threats against him and many other opposition members. Some threats have gone unfulfilled, others remain to be carried out, but there is a long history of threats materialized by this repressive apparatus that strikes and kills under the cover of many faces and through actors with disreputable social conduct who play along with its intelligence games out of complicity. Therefore, the threats from the henchmen of the devils who impose their power by force on the defenseless Cuban people can never be dismissed as routine.

This year will undoubtedly be marked by much repression, threats, and long sentences, such as the more than 843 political prisoners currently in the jails and prisons of Castroism, but equally, it will be a year of necessary action for our rights and freedoms.
