Holguineros in homage to the 169th Anniversary of the Birth of José Martí

Holguin. (Lagrimasdecuba.blogspot.com) - This Friday, January 28, members of the Republican Party of Cuba and the Independent Trade Union Association of Cuba in Holguin joined in the tribute of all Cubans to the 169th anniversary of the birth of the most celebrated of all Cubans, José Julián Martí Pérez, who left a legacy of profound paths for the freedom and rights of all the peoples of Latin America and the rest of the world.

It is an honor for every Cuban to pay tribute to the one who gave his life and thought for the rights of the people, who showed us true ethical and moral principles to fight against tyrants, oppressors, scoundrels, manipulators, false opportunistic rulers, parasites and traitors.

Martí is a clear example that the path to freedom, rights, and dignity for humankind is singular: fighting for them, wresting them from those who steal and deny us our rights, not begging or pleading for them on our knees when we hear families weeping, crying out for justice, when we hear a people desperate to sustain their homes, when we hear the cries of a people against injustice enshrined in law. It is then that the sound of the emblematic bugle sounds the charge against the oppressor; it is then that the struggle of a people becomes a duty. Martí is not only the writer or the mambí; Martí is the light that shows us the path to freedom. Therefore, today we proudly raise his image and his name for our political prisoners, for our rights and freedoms, for the end of the Communist Party of Cuba and the corrupt and murderous elite in power.
