Holguín. (lagrimasdecuba.com) - On this day, December 10, International Human Rights Day, members of the Independent Trade Union Association of Cuba and the Republican Party of Cuba in Holguín were besieged by the Castro regime's State Security. The home of opposition leader Ramón Zamora Rodríguez had been under siege by repressive forces since midday the previous day, and on December 10, they were arrested by the political police.

Ramón Zamora Rodríguez, secretary of the Independent Trade Union Association of Cuba in Holguín Province and director of the Republican Party of Cuba in this eastern province, was arrested at 1:16 pm, as was activist Mailin Ricardo Góngora. They were taken in a white Lada to the central highway, then transferred to another blue Lada and taken to the "El Anillo" Police Station. There, they were met by about thirty elderly people who make up the rapid response groups, a large number of police officers, and high-ranking officials, ready for any possible popular action on that date. At the same time, Ulises Rafael Hernández López was arrested by the Sector Chief and a State Security agent.

Two G2 agents threatened Yisan Zamora Ricardo, telling him that the house was under surveillance, and that if he tried to leave he would be taken into custody and prosecuted for the crime of "Disobedience and contempt." They made the same threat to Ulises Rafael Hernández, to whom they issued a warning.

Alejandro, the G2's Chief of Counter-Revolutionary Operations in Holguín, told Ramón Zamora Rodríguez that they knew he was linked to a group of counter-revolutionary actions taking place in the province, that he was prohibited from staying in the vicinity of the city center, that his home was under surveillance, and that if he went into the city center at any time between today, December 10th, and noon on December 11th, he would be prosecuted for the crime of "Enemy Propaganda."

They were released at 4:48pm and taken to their homes, revealing the cordon of state security agents and paramilitary support groups near their house.

This is how the Castro Díaz Canelista narco-dictatorship in Cuba reveals its respect for Human Rights and its fraud by occupying a seat as guardian of the Rights that they themselves violate against their own people.

We denounce to the entire international community the constant violations of the inherent rights of the Cuban people by the Castro military dictatorship, the violations of due process, the crimes against humanity in prisons and jails against political prisoners, the violations of workers' rights, and the constant siege, persecution, arrest, harassment, threats, and imprisonment of defenseless and peaceful human rights defenders in Cuba.
