Holguín, Cuba. Someone has robbed my house; they have robbed my homeland, they have stolen our light, our dreams and hope.
They have stolen the fish, the meat and the silver, they have stolen the courage, they have only left fear in Cuba, my homeland.
Someone has stolen from my country and killed all those who call themselves dissidents, they silenced their voices; they pressed their teeth shut, they stole the right to choose the presidents.
Someone has robbed my house, they stole the truth from me so that I would live in fantasy, they stole my right to publish my poetry, they left sadness, they stole my joy.
They have robbed my country, they left neither rights nor sovereignty, they have robbed my country, they have only left their tyranny.
Ramón Zamora Rodríguez.
National Spokesperson of the Republican Party of Cuba.
