Declaration of the Republican Party of Cuba on behalf of Yosvany Rosell García Caso

The Republican Party of Cuba, on behalf of its president Ibrahim Bosch, declares:

First: We demand the immediate and unconditional release of Yosvany Rosell García Caso, who today marks 34 days on a hunger strike, as well as the release of all political prisoners unjustly imprisoned in Cuba.

Second: We hold the tyranny, the head of Cuba’s Prisons and Jails system, the leadership of Holguín prison, and the hospital’s medical staff responsible for the critical condition of Yosvany Rosell. They claim they cannot administer IV fluids because “he does not allow it,” yet they have not respected that same right when it came to beating him. The crimes committed or permitted will not go unpunished, and when they appear before the courts, it will be clear where their current arrogance will stand.

Third: We express our gratitude, on behalf of his family and our organization, for all the dissemination and solidarity shown to bring visibility to this case: to Mexican Senator Mariana Gómez del Campo; to every citizen who has shared the complaint on social media; to political organizations; and to human rights institutions that have demanded urgent medical care and freedom for Yosvany. As well as to the press, YouTubers, and influencers.

We reaffirm that this young father, a patriot of principles and profound dignity, must not die.
